HSBC cash enables office move for Gear4Music Magazine

Gear4Music, the York-headquartered instrument retailer, is expanding its presence after securing cash from HSBC.

The company’s new 5.3 million HQ C 50,000 sq . ft . in Holgate Park in York C was enabled, partially, using a 3.7 million funding package from HSBC.

The last four years can see the retailer quadruple its workforce and outgrowing its Clifton Moor premises.

With improved facilities, the newest offices provide Gear4Music with the groundwork to progress inside the many years.

Future plans include expanding its European footprint.

CFO Chris Scott said: “HSBC’s budgets helped us change it in our office capacity problem along with enabling us to plan to keeping our headquarters and processes in our home city of York.”

Adam Kelly, HSBC’s Area Director for North Yorkshire and Humber, added: “We have a long-term relationship together with the business and so are happy to support the next phase of Gear4Music’s development.

“The relocation to new and improved premises is really a significant advancement while in the business’s development and we enjoy seeing the team carry on growing.”
