National Grid workers hold rally outside Labor Day breakfast

BOSTON — National Grid workers have held a rally outside a yearly Labor Day breakfast that a lot of the state's top people in politics attended.

WCVB-TV reports workers who are locked from their jobs amid stalled contract negotiations rallied away from Greater Boston Labor Council Annual Labor Day Breakfast Monday, among organized labor's biggest events in Massachusetts.

The workers say they're endeavoring to raise understanding of the toll the lockout and the ought to address safety concerns at the job.
